Except it is, I just told you my mortgage is less than $1000

My homeowners has increased pretty drastically in 5 years but I shop around every year and have still managed to keep my note below $1,000.

That’s a great rate. A lot of it is based on location

You’re assuming two competing appreciating assets.

Ive already decided I am going to keep my truck forever. I will not buy another. It is paid for. I put $500 in savings every month to build up money for next purchase. I think there is about $18k in it now. Nothing is wrong with the truck and I will keep saving.

I can replace major parts, engine\transmission out of pocket or use that money.

I am not a vain person, and dont need the latest truck model. I dont need all the bullshite that is on them now. A $5,000 tailgate with speakers. Heated and cooled cup holders. A drivers seat that vibrates if someone passes me. I need none of that.

The cost of new trucks in absolutely insane. If someone wants to pay what a small starter home used to cost on an item that depreciates faster than the speed of light, go ahead. Ill put that money into my retirement.

And it’s the internet.

You also say you live in New Orleans in a 3 bed 2 bath house

Having a monthly note under 1k in Nola with a 3/2 seems completely impossible

50 year mortgages and 100 month car loans. Crazy.

Oh well, on a completely unrelated note. Did y'all read that thread about Musk being worth $750B?

Greater than the combined wealth of the next three richest billionaires in the world. This is a good thing, right?

People keep buying them so there’s no need for the companies to lower their price. It’s idiotic

So many suckers paying $750 a month when I can lease the same vehicle for $600 a month and be $150 a month richer.

not everyone is a good candidate for leasing and nor is every vehicle good to lease

I said the same. But when you get to 370k miles even a dead battery starts making you pucker some on long journeys. I drive lot. Mostly just to get out town for the weekends

I can drive that old truck to work. Its about 4 miles. Looked at slightly used qnd the prices were retarded. Other than something older with low mileage I feared im getting something that was trashed out.

I jumped on 0 apr. With my situation its works.
