Are you injured or is it only property damage?

avvo.com rates lawyers - ignore the "pro" label that people pay for.

*And most importantly, don't be afraid to go talk to multiple PI guys. Consultations are free. See what kind of vibe you get from them - pressuring you to sign a contract in the consultation may be a bad sign. I always tell my potential clients to take it home with them to review and I encourage them to meet with some other lawyers to get comfortable - I'll even give them the names of some others.

I mostly do med mal though, so it's a much smaller field of competition than auto accidents.

Neale deGravelles is a great PI attorney. One of the most well established and respected firms in BR. I refer my PI cases to him. Good luck.

Is there a legit car accident lawyer anyone would recommend to go speak with or is everyone like Morris Bart?

Is everything based off injuries?

no quick fix....dude I know got massively rear-ended by a tourist in a rental car (who opted for insurance, and was also covered by his own policy), and had to have documented back surgery. He had a blue collar job that he can't do anymore, and has decided to go back to school because he can't "work"(trades).

unemployed for 2 years after disability, case 2.5 years old...still no settlement.

No problem.. Personally, I don't know which ones are better than the others, but I am sure one of the law firms that have commercials are a good bet. At least they have a rep to maintain.

I'd say that's accurate, 9/10 times I've seen suit filed its to protect and an indefinite extension is granted.

Just pick a number and keep pressing that number. An attorney will pick up.

Look for a firm that doesn't advertise, BUT is larger than just a one man shingle. You want a firm with a budget and resources, but not one so big that you are just thrown into the pot with all of the other BS cases they pick up off of their advertising.

Since he is posting this question in the OT, I'm assuming he's not in a para/quadriplegic type situation. A lot of one man shingle firms could easily handle this type of case.

The higher the numbers get and the more complex the claims (i.e. lost earning potential), the harder it is to settle the case.

You might try WFCW. They've got a good reputation locally, aren't obnoxious on TV/Radio/Billboards, and they're the second result when you google car accident attorney baton rouge
