Skilled pilot flying safely on the edge with little to no margin for error.

Impressive.

That plane lands on water anyways so he's really just doing a touch and go.

I’m impressed by his use of throttles. You can see the propellers changing pitch in the second video as the aircraft pivots in the air slides down the hill and drops on the fire. That is an example of incredible artistry in aviation

Ain’t shite to them baws. Like riding a bike.

But Quebec? Any chance France can get to spit on the USA. Even if it is via plane.

Damn, he gets his wing pretty close to that point right before he scoops up the water the first time. I know it's probably an optical illusion from the video vantage point but it looks like he comes awfully close to clipping some stuff in the land.

I used to travel a lot for work. There’s a yellow older plane that sprays what seems like the entire west side of Louisiana. My first encounter with the guy, I was driving west on I-10 headed towards lake Charles in the middle of no where. There was very little traffic and I was lost in thought when out of no where this got damn yellow plane comes from the north side hops the interstate and dives right back down on the south side. It was just high enough to miss the tree tops. Scared the shite out of me. Crazy bastard

Pretty sure I saw that guy a few times when I was driving back and forth to Houston once a week from BR while my son was at Texas Children's. Just found a few pics I took of him while he was doing his acrobatics.

The scrapping the water part is not that impressive until you think about the amount of weight coming on board in such a short time and the impact on the CG and overall balance of the aircraft.

A buddy has an Icon and can do the same pattern pretty easily but we aren't taking on thousands of pounds of "cargo" as it happens.

The other thing is how they maintain the glide scope as the aircraft dumps thousands of pounds of water on the fire. The plane has to want to jump up in the sky so the pilot is forcing the stick down the whole time...
