Well played.
Not true, of course. But if it makes you feel better...

I think the md who won't take his lab coat off when its 110 degrees and 100% humidity and he has to walk 12 blocks may top the scrubs-wearing crowd

It's like they know that the dog groomers and vet techs have started wearing scrubs out and about to make people think they are special.
Don't forget daycare workers. They wear scrubs too. Actually.. I'd rather someone who has been in a hospital touch me over someone who has been dealing with poop and boogers all day, now that I think about it.

Its kinda like hanging their stethoscope on their rear view mirror or the doctor draping his lab coat over his carseat.
Hanging a stethoscope is just stupid because it destroys the tube. I'm not sure what else you're supposed to do with a lab coat though.

I am a PT, I dont get blood or anything nasty on my scrubs. If I do, I will change. I am not changing to go have lunch or supper after work. I will wear my scrubs to the gym and change there. I promise I smell better than your stetson cologne wearning folks.

It doesn't piss me off, I just think of you as a lesser person than me

I have a client like this. He will come to my office for a meeting still wearing his lab coat.

not reading this thray due to all the lame arse replies, but nurse & gang are asked not to go in public places with their scrubs on after a shift. hardly no one adheres to that though, and yes they're nasty and we're subjected to medical waste by being in their presence.

You think that of everyone.

How do you know they're lame if you didn't read them?

nurse and her friends go do tequila shots at the bar when they get off work at 7 am

the OP says "after work" I understand lunch time is precious and wouldn't expect you to change for that, but when you're off the clock and have plenty of time to not look a douchebag...

Nothing wrong with wearing scrubs in public.
If it's a day I have to go out in the field, I usually wear my steel toes, safety vest and even hardhat the rest of the day. The boots are great in case I drop a weight on my feet at the gym.
