If it's a day I have to go out in the field, I usually wear my steel toes, safety vest and even hardhat the rest of the day. The boots are great in case I drop a weight on my feet at the gym.

Again if parrent teacher conferences start at 6:30 and I got off at 6:20 and my commute to school is 8 minutes.........when do I change?

Or what if my relief is showing upt just so I can make it to the conference and I'm not even suppose to be off until 7:30 but someone came in for me.....Should they come 5 minutes earlier than I've already inconvienced them just so I can change for the meeting?

It's fine to defend this personal and very specific scenario, but you have to admit that there are plenty of your peers and coworkers that wear scrubs in public for the "look at me" factor.

I was on a flight with a girl in scrubs this week who was a clinical rep (applications specialist) who was telling everyone who would listen that she "teaches surgery" in hospitals around the country. These are the kinds of people who are the worst and wear the scrubs for attention.

Sucks for you. Us guys still fully suited up and the Dr. Rico's in full scrubs get all the attention at the bar

Not only do I wear my scrubs to the bar, grocery and parents night, I also wear my stethoscope around my neck wherever I go.

There's a guy down the street that wears his scrubs to cut the front yard but wears gym shorts to cut the back.

drinking on the job is how Jack's dad lost his license to practice medicine which started a downward spiral that lead to him drinking himself to death in Australia.

Jack went down to bring his body back and the plane crashed on what they though was a deserted island. Really interesting story

Here is me at the gym the other day. I mean I am a freaking CPA during our companies close. How could you possibly expect me to change just to workout?

What real doctor uses a stethoscope anyways? I've never see a cardiologist put a stethoscope on a patient before heart surgery.

So the only people that need to change clothes during the day are medical folk.

Why should I see your "Safety First" patch at parent night?

Are you trying to flaunt that you work for a multinational chemical company or oil & gas?

I'm not triggered.
