My wife is an RN on an ICU floor.
She will go nowhere, do nothing, until she is home and takes a shower.
She won't hold our daughter, eat dinner, nothing. Has to get her scrubs off and shower.

And that's fine. Not everyone wearing scrubs works in the ICU though.

But then how would they let everyone know they are a Dr or nurse?

No, you just lured him into an "argument" with you, and there needed to be some "calming down".

Or a tech making $8 an hour. It's a not a status symbol.

I know an oral surgeon who wears scrubs all the times and there are times he won't get home until after 11 and in between all of that he's picking up lunch and doing other things. Should he change clothes every time he steps out of the office only to go back to do another case?

I never argue with him, I just post a bunch of random shite to getting him fired up

doesn't he have a hot secretary to get lunch for him?

I know people that wear nursing scrubs who push paper in an office. They don't come anywhere near patients, lab samples, anything biomedical of any kind.

I agree with fin only on the premise of what I see the hospital nurses do.
It's like they know that the dog groomers and vet techs have started wearing scrubs out and about to make people think they are special.
The hospital RN's and shite have started wearing the stupid stack of 25 fricking badges they have when they go out.

Secretary?
You should see what she wears to work.

I'm an ER doc, and I'm the same way. My shoes never enter my house either.
