Google is giving me mixed opinions. A couple of my favorite ties are wrinkling. I tried to find identical replacements at BB but no luck.

Used my buddies steamer he got from Amazon and it worked like a charm.

There is supposed to be a "Silk" setting on irons, but I haven't had much luck with those.

Iron on back with tie face down. That's how I do it. Or just get it dry cleaned and let them steam iron it.

I'd put a damp towel over the tie before ironing. You'll get sheen on the tie if you get it too hot.

Use your wife/gf/side piece flat iron. That's what they're for. Trust me.

Yes, but put a cloth between the tie and the iron.
Use the silk setting.
Don't hold the iron in one spot too loo long and don't press too hard.

It is a PITA and will yield mixed results.

I'd just put it in a dryer with a wet rag for 15 minutes.

Not damp.

the liquid will transfer too much heat.

Use a dry cloth.

You're right about the sheen.

Steamers easily are one of the best investments you can make if you get one on sale.

Damp cloth with iron is best short term fix though

What Gaston says..... very little dampness, however. Very little.
