I still can't figure out why they're necessary.....especially if there is a nearby source of water. Back in the day I'd fill a gallon container mug of ice water, but that was for outdoor sports that did not have a nearby water source. For instance soccer, you'd go to the sideline, take a sip, and then go back out....no time to walk over to a fountain and fill up when its 200 yards away.

Can those who utilize these water jugs not add the 16.9 fl. oz. containers up to 128 oz. ? They just seem like a nice "look at me I'm serious about working out and getting big" token. I just see no practical reason.

Also, if they're so conscientious of whats going into their body, then wouldn't they want to understand the potentially harmful effects of BPA?

It's easy. They're fricking douches. Follow them out to their lifted trucks after and you'll see them put on white sunglasses and flat bill hats.

I imagine they want to accurately monitor their water intake.

No reason why they can't use smaller containers to do this though.

I shoot for a gallon of water per day. So I bring mine around with me to keep track. And to bug people like you.

Exactly. Its simple adding......and you dont have to carry around an obnoxious jug. I saw a douche spill his entire fricking former orange juice gallon jug filled with water on the ground and just pick his jug up and left a giant puddle of water on the ground.

that's all it is. They want attention. They think that carrying a frickin industrial vat of water around with them will have people think "wow, that guy has a ton of water. He must be working out hard as shite. Man he must really know what he's doing. That guy is jacked!"

They are the same people who stand in front of the closest mirror for any lift they can, and will often yell or grunt loud as frick in an attempt to draw attention to themselves as well.

It's simple.
Most people you see with them are serious competitors. Due to the makeup of some supplements and stacking a bunch of supplements, you need to flush out your kidneys and liver every day by drinking a gallon + of water. It's is easier to just bring a gallon with you everywhere and not have to worry about finding/filling up a smaller bottle where ever you go.
I've been carrying mine around pretty much every day for about 8 years now.
For me personally, I like to drink it and use it to mix with my shakes at room temperature. Fountains with cold water don't mix shakes well.

Sounds douchey, maybe they are germ phobes and want to avoid a public fountain or maybe they really like their own type of water, like, a lot. No idea.

It is? Adding is too hard? And again, if you're so worried about your kidneys/liver and whats going into your body, then maybe you should research "BPA" and how it can effect you.
