Is this a real question?
real question.
hard to believe someone who drives a 1992 ford taurus with peeling paint and lives in a shack with asbestos shingle siding is not trashy though.
One instance I can think of is a black dude that lives on the fringes of a poor part of town. Shotgun house with rotting siding. But the guy manages to keep a fresh coat of white paint on it, the yard is tidy with a garden and the front porch has well watered potted ferns. In the hands of most people that live in that neighborhood, that house would look like a dump. I like that black guy.

of course they can. A person can have all the money in the world and still be trash. See it everyday.

The think my parents instilled in me the most growing up is that it doesn't cost much to be clean. Also carrying yourself with self respect is free.

It wasn't long ago, poor people were very respected. My parents both grew up very poor and their parents were great hard working people. Times have changed though with social handouts, and now being poor is related to being lazy.

Probably more non-trashy poor than non-trashy new money.

Can someone be poor and not trashy?
The opposite can certainly occur.
I see rich trashy people every day.

Yes
but it's way more common to see someone with money that is trashy

I am not poor, But live week to week and live in a trailer... But I have real nice stuff in said trailer..... Do I wish I had MORE??? Sure butI am comfortable with what I have at this time... Being sick the last 5 months have me looking at life a little different... I don't need a 500,000 home to NOT be call poor or trashy..... My vehicles are paid for and they all run great... I got a beatutiful 60"tv in the living room.... Have an awesome bedroom sets in all three rooms..... People think I am beneath them just cause they live in a house.. So fricking what................ Heres the problem.. There are some that COULD have much better but just don't give a shite...... People can judge me all they want and say smartass comments about how I live or where I live... I bet most that do this have LESS than I do..... I hold my head high to the fact that I am a very productive member of society and am a good person.............
Anyone that does not like that can stick their head up an elephants arse.... But since I am such a good person I would probably be there to help you out...........
