Yes. I grew up playing golf at a CC that had a black cook and a few black bartenders. I was exposed to Ebonics at a really early age.

I thought I could...went to public HS and played a lot of sports. Then when I was about 20 I worked at a drive thru liquor store. It took me a few weeks to learn the talk. yea, whatup, gimme 2 kangcobruh, newpote shawt soffpack, and lemme know how much dat is. You'd total them up and they'd see how much money was left and we'd go from there.

I don't understand how they can say complex 18 syllable made up names to a tee but they can't pronounce jewelry.

If he did this voice in the Popeye's drive thru, he'd never end up with the honkie chicken! BTW, honkie chicken is the dried up chicken that has been sitting there for hours. When your white voice is detected on your order, the person yells honkie chicken and you get what you get - dried up skinny pieces.

Last time I was at Popeyes, i had the opposite experience. She told me I could have whatever I wanted. WhatEVER I wanted. She hooked me up it was great.
