Can anybody tell me a little about clarity enhanced diamonds

I didnt even know these were a thing, but thats not saying much. I was looking at a ring for my wife (not engagement obviously) at a local jeweler and found one they said was enhanced. Wasnt cheap but alot less that I anticipated
Whats the story on these? Are they alot more fragile? Do they lose value over time?

Natural diamond that had the inclusions filled, random people won't notice a difference but a jeweler will. Like all other jewelry it will be 70% less than what you paid if you ever try to sell.
It is also probably marked up 300% of what it really should cost

People actually buy diamonds?
They are so easy to make that they have to pretend diamonds dont exist while putting the consumer cost of millions of dollars worth of diamonds on every industrial cutter in the world.

Synthetic diamonds are easy to produce. Synthetic diamonds without obvious flaws are harder to produce.
Still, even the scarcity of natural diamonds is maintained by the gemstone cartel.

It’s a regular diamond that had a resin injected into the flaws to make them invisible.
Like all diamonds, it’s intrinsically worthless. You should decide based on if you think your lady will ever know or care about the difference.

The only reason you want a diamond is because a genius in De Beers in the early 20th century made an ad campaign to try and sell what was considered before to be a rather boring stone. Diamonds were so common they didn’t know what to do with them all, but they managed to convince women everywhere that “you had to have a diamond engagement ring”.
De Beers also came up with the 3 months salary thing. That was a pure marketing invention, just like jiffy lube’s 3000 mike oil changes.
