Trashy people describe their jobs (not careers) by the amount of hours they work.
4-10s
5-8s
turnaround
Being on a turnaround means you’re on a project where you’re working a lot of overtime. 7-12s for example. The phrase stems from getting home from work and having to basically turnaround and go right back esp since trashy people also live 1-2 hours from where they work.
I once worked for a company that was doing a lot of layoffs. I was a young engineer at the time. One of our field hands texted me that wherever he went to work had an opening...4-10s but possibly a turnaround coming up. Nothing about the job or work being done, or qualifications...just the hourly set up. Trashy af!

In their defense, most of these chemical plants and refineries aren't exactly located near desirable places to live, and the massive numbers of people who work at them tend to result in significant traffic to and from them at shift change. Throw in the fact that all of them are along the Mississippi River, which has only so many bridges, which are often snarled with traffic, undergoing lane restrictions, or shut down entirely, you have a recipe for long commutes.

We jack the whole plant up and turn it all the way around, hence the term "turnaround. There you go. You're welcome.

Turnaround - for the next month, you will have no life outside of working 12hr to 16hr(max) days...7 days a week with a “mandatory” 14th day off.
Oh, that companies marketing department knows how to attract viewers lol.
I’m pretty sure she isn’t a fire watch.

That speaker + Float-based Prioritization.
If this video isn’t a troll, someone is making a gazillion bucks AND laughing all the way to the bank.
Not ashamed to say I’m jealous.
