I hope so. I’m sorry for your situation, but why should the hotel house you for free if there are others also in need who can pay them?

Maybe I am naive in this situation, does the government pay them for you or something? Or, do they want you to leave for other reasons?

I don't understand your situation. Where are you, how long have you been there and why can't you drive a few hours to find some other place to stay?

My family had to constantly find new places to stay while evacuated for Laura. The hotels were honoring reservations made prior to any hurricane,

Do people actually stay at the Staring Motel? I would not want to touch the towels or anything else that is in a room. I can't imagine sleeping in a bed at that place. How do people find out that this place even exists? It's basically in the middle of a neighborhood although the neighborhood isn't all that great. Somebody once told me that they have some nice neighborhoods if you go down the streets that are just off of Staring. I pass by that hotel every time I go to visit my mom who lives off of Burbank. Every time that I pass by that motel I never see any cars parked there.

Yes. If you don’t have a reservation they can make you leave. It’s not up to them to decide whose situation requiring a hotel is more important.

I’m not even sure how you are old enough to book a hotel and not understand this.
