I've had two girlfriends who had "just friends". Both ended up hooking up with them...

So what makes you act like what I'm saying is wrong if you've seen it both ways?

I was just stating that IMO relationships with trust are more likley to not end in cheating to your trust will only take you so far comment.
The relationships i see where neither one trusts the other just make me say well why in the frick are yall together.

Impossible for me. Platonic friend is the biggest scam in the world. Women believe they can be just friends though. GTFO with that shite.

Two of my best friends are girls that I have never and will never hook up with. It would just be weird. That's what their friends are for

No. I do not want a best girlfriend. It makes things confusing. Every friend I had that was a girl I ended up banging, wanting to bang and didn't or ended in weirdness.

I dated one girl about 3 years ago. Great girl, but after a few dates, we knew we weren't right for a long term relationship.

So she throws out the idea... How about if we just hang out and have sex when we feel like it. Can you handle that ?

Geez... Yeah I think I might be able to handle that.

So that went on for about a year. One of us would call up the other, we would hang out and enjoy each others company, and 9/10 we would get our groove on. The no strings attached sex was amazing. We were just really good friends that had sex. Nothing more.

After about a year, she met a guy and decided that she wanted to date him. We stopped doing our thing. Now she is married to the guy and she and I are still best friends.

I am probably the exception though.

be honest, does her husband know you and her were banging before they got together??

I had a friend who treated his wife like crap. They had been together since they were 14. He didn't want her to work so he could control her. Finally she ended up going to work....10 years later they got divorced b/c she had been having an affair for 9 years with a guy that Sterling wouldn't have approved of

Seriously. I trust my wife, but I'd have major problems with this. You know SG would stick it in her again given the opportunity.

There's definitely a difference between being prudent in who you're friends with and trying to control someone.

EVERY chick I was just friends with eventually got drunk one night and started talking about feelings or writing me a note.

I think it is much easier for a guy to have females that are just friends than vice versa. Once a girl becomes close and starts to really enjoy and prefer your company, things change, even if they are actually dating someone.

It sux too because I had a lot of female friends that I truly liked hanging with but it usually becomes too awkward after that first drunk confessional.

I can't say I know much about having female friends after marriage. That sounds a little off to me but I guess it makes some sense and might work if both are happily married. Then again, I would guess that a lot of affairs start that way also.
