Logic tells me that guys and girls have evolved to want to have sex.

Well I hope it works out for you.

Married 4 years, dated for 4 before that. Never has been an issue.

This is also the same board that said my wife and I would get divorced because we were going to live apart for 2 years while she was in a doctorate program.

of course but relationships where one or the other try to prevent the other from having interaction with the other sex are probaly more likely to end than ones with trust

im not gona say i never thought about it in hs, but not to the point of acting on it. She was one i never wanted to mess up what we had. There were plenty other girls to play with, this one was special, thats probably the reason we are still good friends 16 years later

Based on what? And I never said I didn't have trust or was jealous of interactions.

If she is so special, why not marry her?

I dated one girl about 3 years ago. Great girl, but after a few dates, we knew we weren't right for a long term relationship.

So she throws out the idea... How about if we just hang out and have sex when we feel like it. Can you handle that ?

Geez... Yeah I think I might be able to handle that.

So that went on for about a year. One of us would call up the other, we would hang out and enjoy each others company, and 9/10 we would get our groove on. The no strings attached sex was amazing. We were just really good friends that had sex. Nothing more.

After about a year, she met a guy and decided that she wanted to date him. We stopped doing our thing. Now she is married to the guy and she and I are still best friends.

I am probably the exception though.

Someone find this man a gif...

Have enough "close friends" of the opposite sex and I'm sure we can find someone willing to give it.

yeah she is special.. as a friend. Its hard to explain, she is attractive yea.. but i never had thay animal instinct sexual attraction to her. It was like a brother sister relationship. We both are married "me for 7 yrs" and she for 3 years with twins. Still talk over text, but not meet up or nothing like that. I love my wife, my wife knows we are friends. Funny thing is i started dating my wife when i was 18, a year later my friend was a sr in high school and asked me to prom, my future wife was cool with it and i went with her. Its hard to explain, but its possible

I mean, if you're never seeing this person and just text occasionally, that's not really what this thread was about IMO.

common sense and life experiences I have witnessed. i have seen many relationships end due to jealousy and or the man controlling the woman and preventing her from interacting with other men...ususally drives them away

Have you seen none where the man or woman was free to do as they please, and then did?

No, I read all that, and still find it incredibly odd.

Only chicks that I'm good friends with are my good guyfriends significant others.
I've hooked up with all other girls that have been my good friend in the past and ruined that friendship. Sad sad story.
