Good lord the candidate is African American and is being sued by her OWN campaign staffers (who are also black) for racial discrimination.

The article doesn't seem to mention the context or motivation for why the picture was posted.
I've taken a picture of myself wearing a charcoal mask, but I only sent it to friends. It's just silly. Has nothing racial to it at all.
Not sure about the reasoning of his picture, but that shouldn't matter much.
It is CLEARLY a charcoal mask used to exfoliate.

Crazy to think if someone were to snap/post a pic of me trying to reduce pore size/blackheads then I'll forever be labeled a racist. They need to start offering them in whiteface.

I would like to know exactly how "black face" hurts so deeply in today's time.
Are people with black face ashamed of their black face? I've watched documentaries about black face in films/tv before and how hurtful it is, but yet again I just don't see the reasoning provided. One of the tv shows featured a young boy with a black face, because he thought it was funny.. not because he was trying to portray a black person. It was just something different on his face.. and stands out from the rest of his body. Not sure how that is so offensive.
Another thing, I've seen white face a number of times.. and even used to clearly to actually make fun of white people as being weak and nerdy.. and yet, that doesn't bother me one bit..
It's frustrating how easily offended people are and how these people want to control the world. Any ways, this dude is clearly wearing an exfoliating mask.. and someone snapped a picture of it.. Should not be a big deal.

Look, I understand how the black face thing can be offensive. If the person is dressed up as a black person in away they are mocking or making fun of black people in general. With that said, like everything else it has turned into a political issue.
It's something that can be "weaponized" when needed. What I mean is, this story for example. When this picture was posted I doubt there were people who saw it and really felt offended. But I do think people who might not like that candidate or someone affiliated with other candidates in whatever race this is, saw it and thought "oh look. A campaign staffer from that campaign has a picture of him with some black stuff on his face. We can turn this into a race thing".

no mention of candidate being responsible and demands he withdraw from election - check
no nation wide constant coverage of this - check
no attempts to blame this on trump somehow - check
all the above evidence clearly states this was a democrat candidate
