It's not your job. You could have ignored the thread completely but instead you chose to respond like a bitch. Ever heard that if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all? Of course not
Personally, I would never ask you for advice anyway. I'm not sold on your vast knowledge and expertise in the nursing field. Just another OT know it all, which usually means the opposite.

I see your point.

Honestly it also comes down to if she wants to do nursing she needs to understand and know how to do it. (If she got the answer correct like people have mentioned goal accomplished)

Or maybe... She did know the answer and was just testing her answer against people the OP respected.

If the worksheet doesn't say to disprove the answer, why would you believe that you needed to?

I may have come off snarky...but IT'S THE OT, snark is expected (and encouraged) on here.

I just hate how others are allowed to do it and it's ok. I do it and the witchhunt with pitchforks in my direction starts.

OP....you didn't say in your initial post that she was getting the same answer over and over. You never mentioned that answer till later. You have to admit though...bragging about her having a 4.0 gpa and then posting a problem that most people with a calculator and a sheet of paper could figure out didn't make her look good.

For what it's worth...in nursing school there was a reason the pharmacology classes were the first ones. Obviously it helps to set a base for knowledge but it also served as a "weed out" class for those that couldn't cut it. I knew a couple students in my class that did great in their pre-req classes and totally bombed pharm and thus were kicked out of school.

When my son is being hooked up to meds, I don't want a nurse that needs to test her answer.

I want an LSUnurse

Not to be an a-hole but I didn't even try to calculate to find an answer and I thought the book answer was suspect

We aren't just calling you out to pick on you. When someone asks questions on the OT, of course sarcastic and downright a-hole responses are sure to come. I do it all the time. But when someone asks a specific poster a harmless question and said poster is a dick, expect to be called out.

Is the delivery system micro or macro? That would be important.

This. Just b/c everyone else is being an a-hole doesn't mean you have to be, especially when it's a sincere legit question. If you dont know the answer or dont feel like telling the answer than just ignore the question. You try too hard to be a badass on here and maybe it's b/c you're a female but it just comes off as weak.

I don't think the question is flawed. If the question is asked as it was written here, it is missing information. On the other hand maybe it isn't missing information. That type of drug would have to be delivered via micro delivery system and knowing this makes it a very easy problem.

wouldn't this only be relevant if we were looking for the actual drip rate?
