When our IT Help Desk got moved to India, everytime I called, I got helllllo, this is Bobby. What are the odds they were all named
Bobby? Thankfully a Chat Option was added, otherwise, I’d have just done without a computer.

I had to scour the web to find a number for Amazon. When I finally got a live person on the phone, it was "Zafar" and he was very difficult to understand.

I just had to deal with these mfers last week. I was not happy to say the least and I let them know it.

You can pretty much do everything online these days, thus the route I take.

Hers’s a little known fact for ya…You have a right to ask to be transferred to an English speaking rep in the United States. ‘And they have to transfer you.

find indian call centers to be less annoying than dealing with the DMV. And thats relevant because I believe US based call centers would be full of the same people who work at the DMV

True, we need more Indians at Popeyes too

Can you tell me where I can find this documented as a “right” of mine?

If an English-speaking representative doesn’t exist, where shall they send you?

Then you get the heavily accented Indian with a strangely Anglo sounding name

I had one from Cox years back named Rodger. There was no way in hell his real name was Rodger.. But I wonder if they assign them a name when they get hired?

Dank you for calling eighty & T

Dear god, I've had this exact experience more times than I can count. It was literally the last straw that drove me to go to great lengths to remove all AT&T services from my home

You might have to deal with Da'Quan or Jadacia on the phone every so often, but Boost Mobile has been a haven by comparison. They don't frick around, and are used to a certain 'clientele' so they offer free shite constantly

Now they are going to phillipino call centers and they very hard to understand

I actually kind of like their accents .. and having dated a couple of Filipina call center girls myself, i can tell you that in person most of them are super cute .

Recently had my first experience with customer service AI and it sucked .. i had made an international reservation thru Booking dot com and needed to make a change .. my questions were really specific and of course it seems like the AI ‘agent’ is only capable of handling very common , broad questions .. maybe the AI will improve dramatically , but I can’t see it happening in the near future .
