So what do y'all want? You want people to work or commit crimes, because that is the options available
Sounds like you think people arent capable of rising above menial jobs.
If people cant work for less than $20/hour, public assistance is too high.

the Pizza Hut CEO can get paid 16 million dollars, then surely it can’t be that difficult to pay workers $20/hour.
Those delivery drivers aren’t worth $10/hr let alone $20/hr.

lolwut? Well, no shite. if you had 4 hourly employees working 40 hours eac h p/wk, then that would be 160 working hours (plus whatever your manager is working), so let's say 200+. quote:They’re not off. They're most assuredly off.
You’re misreading my initial post. It was 4 hourly positions with each position totaling 112 hours a week. 2 cook positions, one driver position, one server position. That doesn’t necessarily mean 4 employees. Each position can be held by numerous employees in different shifts to keep from paying overtime.
The original math was not incorrect. Eliminating the driver position saved around 93,000 dollars in labor costs. It doesn’t matter if it was one driver working 112 hours or 5 drivers working 22 hours a week.

Here's #1...Quit fricking encouraging/assisting millions of ILLEGALS to enter the country that drives down wages. There's so many ways they're screwing up the economy yet Dems and even way too many Repubs are all for it.

We need border security in the worst way. Criminals and disease coming into the country by droves.

In a thread about layoff people due to wages being too high, please explain how illegals lowering wages is relevant?

Who could’ve seen that coming

That’s the point… he still wants all his money but screw the middle class. Sad part is people applaud this.

The simplest understanding of economics can tell you this is how it works. The ones that stay will work 6.5 hours a day instead of 8 with the same responsibilities. The place might close an hour early or open a little later.

Because it's all connected. Those illegals are getting services and guess where the money comes from? Some are also stealing from businesses which forces them to raise prices. Both of those things cause inflation.

This is a great move by Pizza Hut.

How can liberals constantly be so willing to demonstrate they don't have the faintest notion about economics?

The financial pot the CEO pay comes from isn’t where the hourly employees pay comes from
The hell it doesn’t.
It comes from royalties paid by the franchises out of their gross sales.
Franchise gross sales also provides the pay for drivers.
Might be a different payroll account, but it’s surely the same pot if original dollars… franchise sales.

Pizza Hut is simply a brand. The 6 billion in profit for Pizza Hut corporation comes from franchise fees and the sales royalties. This is where the CEO pay comes from.
Umm that’s exactly my point.

Our local Pizza Hut never has more than 2-3 employees.
At a time…
Those employees work in shifts throughout the week.
So total employees per location is much higher.

Liberalism is a severe mental disorder.
