The reason that property tax is like that over there is because taxation based on land value got so out of control that people who owned their land forever were being forced out because of the new valuations.
Blame property owners all you want on that one but California land prices have been a bubble for 50 years.

It’s USA Today and not the Washington Examiner, so I’m sure you’ll dismiss it as left wing propaganda, but it’s not just Biden being in office. And based on your asinine logic, you could argue that Biden being in office has helped the oil and gas industry. At least the bigger players. The price for both oil and gas is up pretty significantly (or was when I checked a week ago - not sure what it is today).
But none of this gets to the argument that is being made, which is that California’s gas prices are literally more than double anyone else’s. That isn’t “Biden’s America.” That’s California voting for policies that cost them more money and then complaining about it. So don’t try this “it was cheaper in Texas, too” crap. Gas in Texas is literally less than half the gas prices in California. If it was Biden’s fault, that wouldn’t be the case.
And let’s just ignore that it was an average of $3 across America in May 2019 (Trump’s term) and the fact that it was super fricking low in 2020 most of the year because there was that pesky pandemic that shut down travel and demand tanked and so of course it’s going to go back up once demand returns.
But ok, bud. Keep living in your delusion that all things bad can be assigned to the guy in the Oval Office.

Yeah that article found one gas station with a crazy price and ran with it. Prices are closer to $4/gallon.

Yep. Blaming the president for gas prices is one of the dumbest things I hear regurgitated over and over. It would be stupid no matter who is in office.
Anytime someone does it I drop my assumption of their IQ by about 15 points
