And you thought it would stop at $15

quote:

California Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., asked his Twitter followers this week to consider the benefits of raising the minimum wage above $20 per hour.

In a since-deleted post captured by ProPublica, Khanna noted that raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour is expected to lift 1 million people out of poverty – while envisioning what an even steeper increase would do.

“Raising the minimum wage to $15 would lift 1 million people out of poverty. Imagine how many more lives would be impacted if we matched the rate of productivity and made it $23/hr,” the post read.

How idiots think this won’t just raise prices across the supply chain is unfathomable. Do these people not understand how this works?

It’s like moving to San Francisco with a Lake Charles salary and going...I’m good at 75K. I can eat. Minimum wage is not a one fits all solution.

That's steep even for extremely wealthy areas like Burlingame, San Mateo, or San Francisco.

It's pretty racist that they expect people to work for their $23/hour. They're all just a bunch of uncle toms until they start to acknowledge their blatant racism

Hell yea, all the baws can drag up on their construction jobs and become greeters at Walmart.

You've never been greeted properly until you've been greeted by a welder on meth with a dip in his mouth.

It’s absolutely asinine. Hyperinflation, small businesses closing, consolidating supply chain to just a few players.

This is literally going to drive people into poverty.

What needs, although never will, to happen is you offer a cash payout of some “high” number like 50 or 100k BUT they aren’t eligible for future benefits from the government. You also run tv/social media ads about “fool proof” ways to turn that number into significantly more.

If you haven't noticed lately, Democrats are now the party of large multinational corporations and monopolies.

Do any of these clowns think past the number and how businesses will just raise prices; i.e. inflation?
Or I guess they will just draft another law requiring price controls?

They have already started their “smear campaign” on how inflation “really doesn’t” impact cost.

It's going to be the cool kind of socialism. Like, everyone gets iphones and beats headphones, but the rich people pay for it and there's an automated Amazon store on every corner.
