If it was up to these SJW, Leftist freaks, they’d immediately want UBI implemented.

Fast food places will just jack up the prices x3 and layoff half their workers. I wouldn't be surprised to see fast food places affected by this to remain as drive through only.

Guthries used to be that way. It was just a small building at each location with no dining area and they only served chicken fingers, a sandwich made with those chicken fingers and fries. They might have had slaw. Not sure how they went out of business with that model but I haven't seen one in years.

How idiots think this won’t just raise prices across the supply chain is unfathomable. Do these people not understand how this works?

Because we have a bunch of dummies leading us. That $7.50 combo meal you currently enjoy will be at least $11.00 if food chains will be forced to pay $15/hr. Likewise, everything else will also follow suit with price increases. Then, I will have to go to my employer too and request an increase in salary. When the entire country does the same with following the same logic, in four or five years we'll be right back to where we stand today. They will cry that $15 isn't enough anymore and we need to make it $20/hr. It will be a never ending cycle.

Well, I mean, that's the entire point.

Of course. That’s not even shocking. If $15, why not $23? $30? $35? $50?

No the point is to raise the standard of living but it’s doing the opposite. In fact it’s doing nothing.

The problem is you can’t raise low wage workers out of poverty without changing their actual circumstances (skills, market demand).

They will not rest until there is only two economic classes....the elites and all the rest of us.

Raising minnimum wages squeezes the middle class.
