Can Florida be next?

A group that wants California to secede from the United States can start collecting signatures for its ballot initiative.

The initiative would form a commission to recommend avenues for California to pursue its independence and delete part of the state constitution that says it is an inseparable part of the U.S.

California's economy is just too large to ignore...they would be reeled in pretty quickly.

I wish. But it'll require a Constitutional amendment. And the Democrats will never allow it. They would lose too many House seats and electoral votes.

What about those poor souls in inland and northern CA that will have to suffer at the hands of LA and the Bay?

True. It would be interesting though. I doubt all the state would go along with the coast though. I've met a few farmers over the years from Cali. They can't stand the coasters
