Love their music, but saw them back in 2000 and was awfully disappointed. They stated play almost 2 hours late and were kind of inebriated.

I had the opposite experience.
Saw them in 2009-10 I think. They sounded awesome live. Just like their albums. They even gave away a live baby tree to plant to a member of the audience so that they could plant it in their backyard and always remember CAKE

I saw them in Nashville around that time. They played on a stage set up on the side of the Cumberland. Crowd was set up on the levee facing the river. Amazing show.
Saw them again a few years ago at the Landing Festival in NOLA. Couldn't tell you much about that show. I was pretty much out of my mind. From what I remember though it wasn't that great.
