Gotta Love the eastside of Houma…..

Especially that parade. I don’t go anywhere near there for that parade! That when “Houma’s Finest” really come out.

What I’d expect at a Terrebone parade.

West side parades can be fun especially Hercules. Avoid the east side

Why would you frick with anyone who calls themself "Ninja?" If he was "The Cajun Coward of the County" hell yeah...frick with him!

I wonder if the float was stopped outside of Sonic?

I've met Jason and he is a really nice guy. I know its crazy for ME to side with the karate guy...but I'm team Jason.

Same here. I've made several of his recipes and damn near all of them were very good. I'm a fan and that's one of my "go-to" cookbooks. Whoever Fankie was, his arse was probably drunk and just was trying to draw attention to himself.

I'm about to make Cajun Ninja's beef stew recipe today for the first time.

I like CN, but I think they should have ignored the guy. It's not likely going to be the last time he gets heckled somewhere. They need thicker skin and it was tacky of Mrs CN to give the finger, but that's me. Hope their young children weren't around to see the behavior of anyone involved.

We have a whole generation of people growing up that didn't learn how to make their grandparents' or parents' recipes, and Jason is one of many people bridging that gap

I agree. I like the baw. But I do doubt that he's a real ninja

Cajun Ninja goes public

quote:

I should have never jumped off the float. I take full responsibility for my actions. It was a lapse in judgment on my part. Contrary to popular belief, I didn’t jump off because someone said “He isn’t a real cook”. I’ve been told things like this since I started making cooking videos. Most of you who truly know me, know that I do not consider myself some gift to Cajun cooking. I’m just another guy cooking in Louisiana who just happens to film my process. There are many, MANY people who can do it better than me. I am completely ok with this. I also did Not jump for what was actually initially said to me, which was “F U you fake a$$ Cajun!”. Then followed by several F U’s, middle fingers, and then “you can’t F’ing cook”. This was completely unprovoked, but again, that genuinely didn’t bother me, I actually smirked at the level someone would go over a guy making cooking videos. It started to escalate when this person would not stop. They then continued on my Wife’s side of the float, pointing to my wife and saying “And F U too B;+€#!!” A few more “F U you F’ing B;+€#!”, and it was then I had a lapse in judgment. It was irresponsible of me to do such a thing. There is never a moment in time where it is a good idea to jump off of a float. So despite what was said to my wife and I, there are no excuse, and I should have had better restraint My apologies go out to the people who had to witness this, the law enforcement who had to get involved, and to all of you. It was definitely a learning moment for me, and I will be better at handling situations like this moving forward. Despite this unfortunate moment in time, I did want to say that the people on the East Side were truly incredible. From all of the float crews, to those who came out and support the parade; my Wife and I were truly grateful. Again, I am sorry for the lapse in judgment on my part, and I will do better.

The internet personality jumped off a float. and another crowd member, who would not give his name, held the two men apart.
Members of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office got involved, and the internet star got back on his float.

Drunk people at a parade and who would have thought this idiot would actually jump off a float to fight someone in the crowd?

Apparently not too bright though. All he did was screw up the parade more and mess with others nights because he couldn’t take a drunk guy making fun of him and his wife. Everyone knows to always stay on your float.

My Dad and Rhetts Dad worked together, I know him, his mom and dad and his 2 brothers well. We've been to each other's house many many times as kids. I also went to school with Rhett from KG to 8th grade. Rhetts and his entire family are great people.

Everywhere I have been and this has come up the consensus was the Duplantis guy is a known dumbass. The Cajun Ninja has a great reputation in the community and he got out of his normal self and he should be given the benefit out doubt on that alone.
