They rescued my family and neighbors during Harvey. Airboat captain was an alligator fisherman from Houma.
Drove almost all night to get over here, slept two hours in a Wal-Mart parking lot, brought 150+ gallons of their fuel, and asked for nothing but show me where to put in and where to rescue.
Dropped us off at S. Mason and Westpark Tollway, and before we could say thanks again had already went to rescue others.
Just a class act. So many people in Florence's path will be blessed by their presence.

Appreciate the work these people are doing. The people saying they are doing it for attention and media attention can go frick themselves. These types of things have to get attention so people will donate to the cause and allow them to continue doing what they are doing. It’s not free for them to go and help all these people, some of you have no idea what expenses come with rescue missions.

My favorite part is that the government cannot stand that they are successful at what they do and keeps trying to regulate and “organize” these guys. Can someone point out one thing besides the military that has gotten better with government interference? Leave them the frick alone.

Yea it kinda is, but it kinda isnt also. Its something for people to rally behind which puts more people involved. I just hope there aren't too many glory hunting attention whores who will do as much bad as good involved. I know one of my friends who has the shirts and stickers and stuff definitely falls into attention whore, but he did help a lot of people out in Houston last year while he was attention whoring. He wouldn't have gone if not for the whole "cajun navy" thing.

I'm all loaded up and about to head that way. Bit delayed as I had to wait for a new SuperExtension selfie stick to arrive from Amazon. Should be a successful rescuing season with that and the addition of a Phantom drone to really capture our heroics. As with every adventure our biggest concern is that there will be enough cell signal to get our pics an vids out within minutes of saving someone's life.
I'm gonna be super pissed if this thing is a big nothing burger and we just drive a long arse way for nothing.
