Cajun Gravy vs. The Cajun Gravy spat (Flood Related)

APparently Cajun Gravy started in 2016 to provide donations in the form of food and ingredients for local disaster victims. They've also done the same with Texas I believe. Well, another groups was more recently formed called The Cajun Gravy. Cajun Gravy does not seek donations. THE Cajun Gravy solicits donations.

We are a small group from Houma La. We are volunteering our time and what ever we can supply to flood victims in and around Baton Rouge, La.

Elrena and I are looking at our options at this point. I am spending to much time redirecting people to the people they are trying to reach. I will not be a go between for a group that named themselves after an existing group. If you donate money to someone calling themselves Cajun Gravy. That’s on you at this point, but know that we have never asked for a penny. Our donations came in the form of ingredients for our meals. If they will not change their name so be it. An apology would have been at least a start. I have had several nasty text from this group but the actual people in charge are apparently to busy to reach out and make an effort. Elrena and I are very upset by these events obviously and people need to understand weren’t mad; we were hurt because of the work it took to form this group. But the more I see a name that we have had for a year being used in a way that is nothing like what we did last year does anger me. The people who volunteered with us in some of the worst conditions imaginable are shaking their heads in disbelief of this also. With all this being said I will say this much....expect to see my gray F150 again, expect us to come out stronger than last year, and expect us to do it for God because no matter what, he will give us the focus and the drive to move beyond this and much more. We love you all. God bless Texas. God bless Louisiana, and God bless you wonderful people who were with us since 2016. We love y’all more than y’all know.

It saddens me that this other group chooses to behave the way they are behaving. I don't think I believe the story of them not knowing there was already a Cajun Gravy. From what I've read of these posts it seems to me they chose their name to enable them to not have to do all the hard work of finding people to donate. I shared a lot of this Cajun Gravy's posts last year because you're good people. This is the only Cajun Gravy group I recognize. God bless..

CAJUN GRAVY: Ok for people that are following our page since 2016. Apparently a new group has been created called The Cajun Gravy. We are not affiliated with this group and I want to make sure you all know that. Thanks.
RESPONSE the group was unaware of the duplication... they are carrying out the good deeds you began in 2016 currently in Texas. You would be proud to share the same name.

Cajun Gravy The name isn't to be shared. I do not wish for my organization to be held liable for any activity that is not approved by me.

No see you should be proud that we had that name. Donations come easy to a group that is already established. So when I go to my contacts for food after the water subsides are they going to tell me they already gave? We were everywhere around Baton Rouge areas last year and I find it hard to believe that no one bothered to check on the name prior to making that decision. We were successful because all we took was food donations. We never asked for a dime which is why I am distancing myself from you guys.

The Cajun Gravy is a group of guys a know. Like 99% of the population, they have no clue who these people from houma are.
They are currently buying things through their LLC at cost to cook for people.

Good ol Facebook spats. Only that website could turn grown people into 14 year old girls

From the grammar I can attest that they are from Houma

As I read I thought that you were doing some sort of snarky play on the navy deal and I was thinking how ridiculous it was for you to edit every N to a Gr.
Now I realize that you didn't do that and this is real.
Jesus what a bunch of crybabies. What happened to everyone coming together? If helping causes this much conflict then don't do it!
