Thanks for agreeing with my point
My point is the argument you are running with is a non-sequitur in relation to the thread you started. I have to ask, have you even read the legislation?

Decriminalizing has done nothing to improve anything.
True, but America is still for the better allowing crazies to run around FREELY then it is for locking up people and denying them freedoms due to how they stimulate their own bodies.
Sounds like I'm against involuntary asylum placements, but I'm not. Prison is another story.

Not exactly a scientific measurement.

If you hold them accountable, and stop providing them resources, yes. We don't have the guts to do that.

There's not enough mental health personnel or facilities to get that off the ground in a state damn near chock full of kooks to begin with.

CA also just a passed a law allowing kids 12+ to run away and live in a state run facility if they choose, and the parent can’t do anything about it.
That state is so far gone. If newsom ever had any hopes of running for president in the future, he just kissed that goodbye.

Thats exactly how to create broken adults and mental illness.

That’s what communists want. The state to raise your kids not you.

They've already said it.

At the 2022 Teacher of the Year ceremony hosted by the White House on Wednesday, President Biden claimed that school children don’t belong to parents “when they’re in the classroom.”
“They’re all our children. And the reason you’re the teachers of the year is because you recognize that. They’re not somebody else’s children. They’re like yours when they’re in the classroom,” he said.

No way this gets abused
Abused hell, how is it funded or carried out.
That’s a massive job. You will need tons of manpower, clinicians, medications, and proper facilities to properly care for unwilling patients. Hellbent on just getting out of there.
Security will be a massive challenge. California is FULL of rehabs and treatment centers. But Passages is not going to be clamoring to take in homeless schizophrenic crackheads. So they can sit in group with the current day Lindsay Lohans or any other high profile celebrity addict or mentally ill CEOs wife or son.
