Huge risk or do states require quality inspections to be able to obtain the rebuilt title these days?

Yea it can be a risk depending on whay and why you’re buying. And telling us the state you live in may help.

To each his own, but here in Louisiana I’ve purchased 4 and never had problems. Even got new car financing on one.

Really depends why it has a rebuilt title and what you plan on doing with it.

I think you can only get liability on it. Just FYI.

nope, I got full coverage on all of them, wouldn’t have gotten new car financing without it.

Make sure its a car you plan on keeping a long time. It can be a difficult resale

On a previously totalled vehicle? If so that's news to me. Are you in LA?

Used to be a place near here that sold them. Mostly wrecks that were totaled; they had pictures of what they looked like before being rebuilt and a detailed list of the repairs. Prices were about 20-30 percent lower than the equivalent car with regular title.

Depends on the state.

Don’t buy it unless you know your way around cars and repairs.

If you DO buy one, don’t pay more than 50% of retail value for it.

My first truck was rebuilt
. In the 4 years I had it nearly everything had to be replaced.
