I'd rather give it to a CPA or an attorney than the government, assuming they pay their taxes that is

Well I know the OP has never eaten at Moscas but it's probably because of lack of parking-not the cash only policy.

to believe that most businesses are paying 100% of what they owe in taxes is, well.....naive.

They have the right idea if they can get out of paying Social Security. Im all for SS/Wellfare in regards to handicapped. However, I think its robbery having to pay it when it will collapse before I can reap any kind of reward in my later years.

If all businesses with cash income incorrectly report their cash income, then the only solution would be to require all businesses to be completely cashless. If you assume cash income is always underreported just because it's supposedly easy to underreport it, any business that isn't completely cashless is breaking the law. Why single out Asian-owned ones or ones that are mostly or exclusively cash?

Take that up with the OP.

I'm going to continue to assume cash income is underreported until I'm proven wrong. The next business/employee I meet that correctly reports their cash income will be the first.

To be fair, I'm not speaking from some moral high ground. I'm sure I'd operate the same if given the chance.

Cash only or largely cash business don't report their incomes accurately. I'm not sure how this is even debatable.

Are you advocating to make cash illegal?

Huh? How did you jump to that conclusion?

However, now that you've taken us here, I'd argue that the biggest individual reason cash is a preferred payment method is tax evasion. There are plenty of legitimate uses, and those probably outweigh the illegal uses of cash, but I'd still contend the single biggest reason to use cash is tax evasion.

Its your fault because you go to a cash only business because they are usually cheapest. You are enabling them.

Don't some of them file for bankruptcy and reopen under different names? Someone told me that once but I have no clue if it's correct

Are we supposed to be waiting for the punchline?

Not a punchline to be had, it is about small places that are cash only. Pointing out places that openly only taking cash, most likely do so for tax purposes..good or bad. Du yeew readz guud?
