You got 2 downvotes but you are correct. Our economy is very complex and interconnected. One minor segment of the economy (for example; fast food industry) declines due to organic forces of capitalism is a minor blip.m but when it becomes multiple segments like 80% of the service, retail, and entertainment sectors, everything is impacted including real estate market, manufacturing, etc..

Well, for one, everything is not shutdown.
There’s still a shite ton of businesses open, like mine, that are trying to make it each day.
As for the ones that don’t make it...well, that’s natural selection for the business world. If nobody gives enough of a shite to save them, then it’s probably good they’re gone.

Tatoo parlors - that fad is about to end I think
Crawfish places where you sit with other people - that fad should have ended. I hate eating with people I don’t know.
Most restaurants - Again, the wife and I realized we are saving a chunk of coin by not eating out.
Most stores - Amazon for the win once they go back to shipping stuff again.
Movie theaters - don’t need them.
Sporting Events - watch on TV (which is ironic because I love LSU games in person and will be going this Fall)
Concerts - Don’t need em.
Bars - I’ve become pretty handy at mixing drinks and staying pretty drunk so far.
Any company that sells anything made in China - nothing against the people, but their government should implement more modern food handling practices and food safety measures there.

The conferencing industry is gonna have an extremely rough go.
