I last saw Bon Marche around 1990 and it was about to fall in on itself. Im now up in Va/Dc and its strip mall town center city.

Lets not forget the late Scott Rogers had a large studio in Cortana for Around Town.

That's exactly what it's turned into. They just loiter around the mall, don't buy anything, curse loudly, fight, and eye rape women.
Minus the fighting, and add gong to the woods to get high, and that was me 18 years ago at the West Oaks Mall in Orlando.
And yeah, those family bathrooms were always fun.

What happens to a big mall when it closes down? Do they demolish it and sell off the land?

They closed when Macy's did. The two of them leaving basically eliminated any reasons for anyone to go there.

Cortana mall was a staple if my teenage years. I suppose you have to say goodbye to all things eventually. It's sad we can't keep the comforting things in life.

Wonderful place years ago.
Bought some sweet kicks from Champs back in the day. The original leather Dr J's were awesome. Then grab some pizza from Mama Bravas

Im sure they sell as is and whoever buys it will have some innovative idea that would work if it wasn't in North BR. See Bon Marche Mall.
