Not whisked away by the secret service as is protocol, instead he is left alone in an awkward situation realizing that he does not run the government. They let him sit there while the VP was immediately put in a secure bunker hidden away.

I'm glad to know that I was the first downvote.

If he'd jumped up and left the kids, he would have been criticized for scaring the snowflakes.

His reaction tells me there was no conspiracy or he would have been briefed to have the perfect reaction instead of sitting there like a deer in the headlights.

I don't think there's any grand conspiracy, but I do find the many facets of various conspiracies fascinating. This is one of them.

There are extremely compelling and well thought out, evidence based theories that are worth taking an evening to view and investigate. It's not all tinfoil hat, crackpot people like some would make you believe. I think now as much as anytime in our Country's history, you shouldn't believe everything your Government tells you.

Sigh. It's gonna be a long day if people are going to start attacking Dubya again.

ETA: You can't really judge someone who was literally in one of the most delicate positions a sitting president has ever and will ever be in...the world's eyes were on him and there was no "right answer".

probably the same look he had when he was told to report to his guard unit ASAP, as they were possibly being deployed to Viet Nam

Or he is just a bonehead and should have asked to leave which judging by his bungling of trying to get Osama and stupidly going into Iraq reunited in the needless deaths of hundreds of thousands and more Americans getting killed in attacks since he is responsible for ISIS, is say it was more likely his ineptitude

The greatest thing to happen to dubya is Donald trumps lard arse. I didn't think anyone could make dubya look good by comparison.

I think people look entirely too much into this incident. The President was in front of a classroom full of children reading a book, his life was not in immediate danger, and at this point in the attack no one really knew what was going on.

He doesn't need to be whisked away. This isn't the movies fellas.

And if he had the perfect reaction we would all know he knew ahead of time.
