Those places are usually very clean.

Honestly....they've really stepped things up lately, although I have no idea where they could possibly fit one on that corner.

I feel like it would make more sense for them to start in LA... People coming from the west towards the beaches will want to stop earlier on in their trip, not right before they get to the beach. Probably how Buc-ee's originally thought of their plan until anti-business LA politics got involved.

More likely its due to the poor quality of service industry employees in La.

Possible, but Chick-fil-a tends to manage this issue very well wherever they open up new restaurants.

Cane's too. I assume they pay a little more and are thus more selective?

I've been in some nice Bucees in Texas. I've also been in a few dumps.

Buccees is overrated
In what way?
I don't measure my dick or have anything hanging on their success...
but more and the cleanest bathroom stalls, food selection, gas pumps and arguably better food and customer service than any other gas station chain in the nation seems to make them the best.
I mean I'm not in the business of ranking things but they seem to be winning in every tangible category.

I get in and out of gas stations as fast as possible

Racetrack is stepping up their game big time.

I was never really impressed with Bucee's. It's a big service station.
