Per the Lincoln Parish Journal construction is about to start and should be completed by late 2025. I guess everyone in Baton Rouge got their payoff. There were previously issues with department of transportation.

If I can live in a safe and prosperous Louisiana then I really don't give a shite about who’s skimming who. Besides, this state was much better off when the mob ran the cities

One reason why I no longer live in Louisiana....they uncorked the bottle after shaking it and have been living with the consequences for decades, now

So stupid. What possible issues could be had with the DOT to prevent businesses from coming to our state. Somebody's hand needed to be greased, I hate Louisiana

The LSU-Southern Law mafia runs the state now.

Whenever positive news about Louisiana comes along, Texcels always have to show up and rain on our parade.

Probably the amount of traffic that’s going to get on and off of I-20. It’s already busy through there as is.

Buc-ee’s is a road oasis. I, for one, welcome my beaver overlord.

I don’t think Ruston really grasps how big a deal Buc-ee’s is & the traffic & growth that interchange is going to have. This is going to be interesting

From what I understand, the previous JohnBel Admin & Bucees couldn’t agree on changes that need to be made to the Tarbutton Rd interchange, so the DOTD just halted the project. It’s a damn shame that previous Admin would’ve been perfectly fine with Bucees & all the jobs that will be created for the Ruston/Grambling community moving to another area. Typical South Louisiana good ole boy politics. Nothing good comes out of Baton Rouge.

I agree. Ruston is a relatively small town with limited traffic. This is going to change things up to say the least.

I feel like some other Bucee's have been built and opened faster than this whole approval process has taken.

Getting a Buc-ee's is fine. My comment was more about law and order....it was much more predictable time for a reason

Bucees refused their demands on the Baton Rouge project and pulled the plug.

JBE was going to allow them to build anywhere in Louisiana. I assume Bucees knew this and the timing of the original Ruston announcement was probably an extra frick you to that administration who was going to term out before they could stop its development.
