What I find strange about that place is they will have 8 rows of snack mix, but if you need toiletries, Circle K has a better selection.

That's like being excited about the best off brand toilet cleaner.

If the Pierre Part store had 60 gas pumps, Buc-ee's would look like a landfill next to it. No store in the world has the variety of items that PPS has

Just a question, is this place similar to Stuckeys?

Pretty much, except 20x bigger, and with bbq and decent food instead of a dairy queen attached.

After 5 months in Houston, I've talked a lot of of shite about Texas, but Buc-cees is pretty damn cool. Best beef jerky selection I've ever seen.

Some things are ridiculously cheap, some overpriced. But given an option, I'd always stop there on a road trip.

Edit: the failed linked image was from a wall street journal article that said it's 67,000 sq ft.

So is this like a Texas version of Sheetz?

I lived in Houston for a while and I don't think I've ever been to one.

not really. I just made the drive up thru Penn, VA, Jersey, Albany, etc and stopped at a few

while sheetz may be the best that part of the country has to offer it really doesnt hold a candle to Bucees.

Bucees are much much cleaner, better maintained, and a substantial better selection of food & beverages.....and thats not mentioning the number of pumps and the retail store. I've seen people at Bucees in Bastrop with a full on shopping cart, loaded down like it was the rapture. In fact, if a hurricane was coming, I'd probably be better off shopping at Bucees than the HEB

Sweet mother of god

The day of reckoning has come

Oh sweet and merciful chubby beaver, I long for the safe confines of your unending beaver apparel, big gulps and beef jerky.

In buccee's name I pray, amen

Buc-ee's kolaches are awful. Like I'd rather have shipley's kolaches awful. (For those that don't know, Shipley's kolaches are a joke.)

If you think Shipleys kolaches are a joke, you better never eat the ones in Lafayette. Pathetic.

I know better than that. If the mood strikes me and I want breakfast, kolaches and breakfast tacos are the last thing I'm thinking of in the state of Louisiana.
