The evil empire that is United Airlines will fight this to the death. No way they want SWA at another airport where they are digging gold.

BTR to Houston/Dallas makes sense if there's demand but no way would there ever be non stops from BTR to anywhere. You can hardly get a SWA non stop out of MSY

Whatever makes them step up their game is welcome.

Hope it happens for y'all and HSV with SW or JetBlue.

Smaller airpirts need love too.

What are you drinking? SWA is growing in Nola

Realistically SWA could make BTR work with a couple non stop flights to Dallas to boast the supply numbers and keep American honest. They routinely are booked 90% with little to no desire to expand timetables or bring in larger jets.

The other route I would love to see is one of either Phoenix or Chicago to get travelers connecting to to the West/Midwest straight through SWA which they are not able to do.

The O/D numbers work, when people in the metro option are given the lower fares at a smaller and quicker to use airport they'll come...and legacy carriers will have no option other than to compete with SWA and lower their own prices.
