Look, I like him as an actor. The series Your Honor is good. I liked him in Argo and I hope he has some more good roles, but this whole white privilege shite is horse shite.
it's a term created by a white woman named Robin DiAngelo who has made a lot of money writing about white privilege. She made an arse ton of money during the pandemic when her book "White Fragility" became so popular (its like the netflix show the Tiger King, its fricking trash, but because people had nothing else to do people watched it, it became trending on social media and it just took off from there).
I understand blacks were held back. Slavery then after slavery they still didn't have the same rights. They had to start their own universities with less money than whites could get to start universities, etc.. It sucks yeah, but its not my fault or the fault of anyone living today.
I can't recall one time in my life where I felt like being race gave me an upper edge on something.
In today's world no one is truly holding anyone back. Does that mean racism is gone? No, I am sure their are small companies that might prefer to hire certain people, but that's not just white small businesses.
And for these people to inaccurately acknowledge their "white privilege" the more validation they give to the woman I mentioned above who has made millions writing about this shite.

Why do white want to feel so dang guilty and be all vocal about pretending to care about other races?

“Hi. I’m Bryan Cranston. An old white man who stands to continue making Breaking Bad residuals $$$. I feel like I will not touch a racially charged ANYTHING with a 10 foot pole at this time in my life AND at this time in society. I’ll just make a movie here and there and wave my Heisenberg occasionally for a laugh. “
Delete the part about Heisenberg. May be Jew bashing.

White male actor turns down director role of play where KKK are villains. Sounds like Cranston doesn’t want to see the KKK as villains to me

Does Bryan or anyone remember The Producers? Where we laughed at one of the most evil people of all time, who was responsible for the murder of more than 6 million people.
That musical didn't come out that long ago.

Most KKK members are white dudes, and I thought everyone is not supposed to only play roles that directly align with who they are in real life. So as a white man shouldn't he be the perfect person to direct?
I'm so confused.

I heard an NPR interview couple years ago by a terrorism expert. Guy said the average attendance of one WNBA game exceeds the total number of KKK.
There has to be more than 37 people in the KKK

Just put him in front of Mel Brooks movies and tell him to shut the hell up. Mel had been victim of the Nazis and the Klan, so no you can laugh at klansmen and Nazis and is the most powerful tool against them.
