I honestly hope the poster making comments about not watching everything sports on vacation was trolling.

Ive heard him say it before, and also, he said if it was up to him (i.e. if public opinion/ratings didn't matter) he'd talk about beer and MMA for all 3 hours on his show.

He strikes me as the type of guy in high school and college that followed the teams (LSU/saints/hornicans), but wasn't a diehard fan.

why can't people express opinions? the caller had his opinion, that's what makes talk radio interesting and fun.

Well, for one the guy's opinion (or at least the points he was using to back it up) was wrong... and second it was flat out racist. You think the sponsors of the show are okay with racism on the air?

Is Matt back yet? James is good but Carley is painful to listen to.

LSUBoo, subjective opinions like that caller's can't be proven right or wrong. So, you are actually wrong in saying his opinion was wrong. Was it racist, or something he truly believes? The caller may not have a racist bone in his body, but may feel that way about QB's just from watching them for years. Sponsors of shows love callers like this. It's all about ratings. People tune in. It gives the host a great platform. As long as it's the caller and the host stays neutral, yet is thought provoking.

Can we all agree that he needs to drop feinswog on Monday afternoons at 5. My Mondays already suck, this just makes it worse.

Water Polo, volleyball, and random obscure references for my commute home really makes me want to work until 5:30 every Monday.

Yall realize he leads the BR market in afternoon time slot? Not just leads males 18-50, he leads the entire market.

If Matt wants to be the champ he needs to beat the champ. Switch with Sports Today and go up against Rush.

Idk, flat out saying that LSU isn't successful with a black quarterback because they can't read progressions is pretty ignorant and wrong, considering there have been black quarterbacks like Warren Moon, McNabb, Culpepper, Vick, Wilson, etc. Were they as great as Montana, Young, Manning, etc? Maybe not, but still good quarterbacks.

I felt he was right in cutting that guy off. The guy was trying to say the problem for LSU has always been the black quarterbacks. They can't win with black quarterbacks. It was ignorant, whether or not it was hateful. Maybe there is some truth to it, but was it the skin color, or the lack of skill that kept LSU from winning titles with those QBs? I've seen plenty of white quarterbacks that weren't worth a flip.

Moscona may not be the best, but I like him more than some other guys on the radio. I'd listen to him any day over Lebetard or Bomani Jones. Best thing I've ever seen those dillweeds do was the Papi Awards on Christmas Eve. Dumbasses.

And "The Riot Radio Hour" is probably the best hour of radio all week. Theriot is hillarious, especially when he pisses Matt off.

Well, your opinion is just as wrong as that caller's opinion.

And like I said, it was more that he couldn't even back it up that made it wrong rather than the racist nature.

One thing that infuriated me was how he undervalued Miss St and Dak Prescott last year (2014) The week of the game he said there is no way a team like Miss st would come into tiger stadium and beat LSU. He kept saying no way LSU loses and that state was garbage.

Oh yeah, that is gold! I remember when he got on a kick where the slogan for every business was "We're always on time, or you don't pay a dime". Or "We'll Give you the Bird".

Gotta be a joke. I've never seen a radio host get more information wrong and not admit to it as he does.

What info? Every time I try the station and he is on all I hear is useless babble about:

When next break will be, what we will do until next break, what we will do after next break, what commercial is coming up, what he had for lunch, where he had lunch, etc...

I have never heard one sports fact on that show. Hannagrif however is a talking sports almanac.

The national guys should not be on this list.

Does this mean that Moscona is the best local sports talk host in the state? Good grief.

I remember Innes when I was in Houston. Interesting show.

About 35 other radio stations.

In most markets a sports radio show doesn't even crack the top 5 at anytime of the day. He's beating out top 40, country, rap, etc. in a decent size market.
