Good for Matt, im sure he could use a bright spot with all the trouble with his kid. Love his show, Even though sometimes his voice makes me want to punch him.

Meh. The dude admits on air he does not watch sports when he's on vacation [insert annoying matt laugh]. He also cannot name teams in several conferences because he mixes them up consistently. If you don't know, then don't talk about it.

travel around the country and listen to sports radio in markets without a major pro presence (and even many that do) and you'd understand what I'm talking about.
I would not at all be surprised to see him end up in a top 15-20 market one day if he wanted to do so.

I do, but in this day in age you don't have to be forced to listen to the mediocre radio of the world with apps like ESPN radio.

Problem occurs when he comes back he has NO IDEA what is going on in the world of sports because he hasn't kept up at all over that time. It makes his show painful to listen to for anyone who knows sports.

Everyone bashes his show, but I enjoy it and listen almost daily. We're spoiled in how well our daily rundown has shaken out over the last few years with 3 local shows.

Neither can the guys on the Houston ESPN station. Listened one day to these moron's rattle off teams from 3 different conferences, thinking they were all in the Southland.
