While certainly "within their rights" to lock the doors and refuse service, they basically put a spotlight on themselves.
It is also "within their rights" for DHS to do a deep dive on the owners/employees to find a reason to revoke their visas or whatever.
I suspect this decision will have negative consequences for Brother's Food Mart.

Y'know, I am all for rounding these types of up deporting them - - - and that is kinda how this was sold to us - - problem is I ain't seeing this. I am seeing guys yanked off rooftops as they try to work to support a family, I am seeing people rounded up at courthouses as the try to do this the right way, I am seeing American citizens dragged from their cars or chased into their homes because they "look" illegal. I dunno man - - this is awfully close to having to show papers at checkpoints to me.

There needs to be a better way.

And which part of this doesn't make them a criminal?
Legally speaking the charge of a single improper entry under 8 USC 1325 is rarely charged, highest year in the last 10 years is about 85k cases, and those were mostly people caught at the border. Max sentence is 6 months in jail. SCOTUS has held back to the 1800's that deportation is not a punishment for a crime and is a civil matter (See
Immigration law as a whole is administrative. Would be better for everyone if it got moved under federal district courts.

Yes. However no one votes for you if you are for a solution and compromise. You only get progressives to vote for you if you want open borders and "no one is illegal" and you only get MAGA votes if you want to deport everyone. Like everything political, politicians get rich while everyone else fights amongst themselves.

If you want to say you want everyone illegally here to be deported it's okay to just say that.
I don't know of anyone not saying that. If you're here illegally,

Also, since when do we support forcing private businesses to serve everyone?
I'm fine with them not supporting ICE, but then I'm fine with private businesses refusing business from anyone for any reason. All I want is for such a business to advertise whom they discriminate against so I can know if I should even bother stopping in.
That said, I'm not fine with them harboring illegals and fricking over their employees.

“Entered illegally” implies that laws were broken….. deport them.

The right way would be to have citizenship before you came here, but you already know that.

Thats going to be labor intensive, there are lots of places in town that arent trading with ICE/DHS.

If you are here Illegally that is a crime...............case closed

Same response. Private businesses should be free to serve (and refuse to serve) whoever they want.

Apparently since your pals forced Christians to bake cakes. (or is that not enforceable anymore?)

Explain how you meet the residency and physical presence citizenship requirements PRIOR to coming to the US?

How the hell is this?

Not my pals buddy. I’ve never voted for a liberal in my life, and the bakers have ever right to refuse to bake a cake for whoever they want.
I just understand the immigration system and its flaws, and don’t hate people for coming to the US to seek opportunity. I also have massive concerns about the current operations that the administration has taken and disregard for legal procedure.
Fun fact: you can disagree with one policy and still support others of a politician!

Should be, but they aren't.
