The mayor elect of New Orleans brought a felon to the legislature as her liason. These ghetto leaders have zero shame or self awareness

What she really means by increasing patrols is the BRPD will take officers from other parts of the city and move them to NBR, which will actually leave other parts of the city's taxpayers not protected as well as it should be. She is supposed to protect ALL taxpayers in the city equally

NBR basically needs an army of police officers

Which mean NBR will have more chances to frick up SBR than they already do.

Kind of crazy how all the issues in this city seem to come back to NBR. Gravy swears they're a blessing to this city, though.

They say that, but as we saw a few months ago, they're lying. They acted like that black BRPD officer who shot that guy was a fricking KKK member.

To us a felony is a big deal. To them, a felony is a part of life.

As Judge Erwin's accuser so succinctly stated, "who hasn't been convicted of a crime?"

The people who voted for her would rather have the criminals on the street than have police take appropriate action. Who cares if they had 5 murders in 24 hrs, it's better than the police killing one criminal out of self-defense. At least, that's the message I got during the summer of 2016.

Don't worry. The new prison reform will help. They let them out with no money and no place to live. That's a great plan

Actually, in theory, I don't have a problem with prison reform. Considering how much it cost to keep them all locked up, I am sure there are a lot of prisoners in jail who shouldn't be in there as long as they are sentenced for, but the problem is... Once they been in jail, they have no resources when they come out so they go back to what they know. And there will be some who will return.. With that said, I really wish they would provide them with something so that when they get out, they can actually contribute to society.

The amount of money that goes towards the prison system is ridiculous..

With all his preaching to the black people of BR on how black people should be only buying from black owned business, im shocked he is having lunch meetings at a restaurant owned by rich white people and a customer base of 95% white people

Hell...his fat a$$ would be an easy target in NBR! Hanging out with the honkies is much safer!

She is not a leader and does not have a plan on how to solve the crime in NBR. If she did she would not say we must unite against violence and ask for prayers. She would have a chief with a plan to go into high crime areas and give these thugs grief. She would talk to the judges. She needs to say hey you lock this trash up or I will make sure your budget is cut along with exposing your weakness to the public. How many pre K’s, resolution morons, and other things you have in place to see nothing is working along with your non plan of action. She has a new chief he needs to get off his butt, jump in, and start leading a dept or resign.

Not how this works. They have staffing minimums, per shift, per District. If they run below those numbers, manpower would be needed. Could mean some of the more proactive divisions (Street Crimes) may be asked to work but this does not take from the rank and file guys.
