Broken femur on toddler.

Long story short. Our three old broke his femur today at daycare. I could spend hours venting about the daycare but I’d rather just get to what matters. Went to immediate care. Got X-rays. Rode ambulance to ER. More X-rays. Admitted.
The pediatric orthopedic guys said he doesn’t need surgery per se. Just a procedure tomorrow morning where they will give him General Anesthesia and put his cast on. Six weeks.
They said because he’s so young he’ll heal like a starfish.
Absolutely a terrible day. Couldn’t stay overnight with them due to one guest Covid policy. Mom is with the fella. It’s been absolutely gut wrenching to see my boy go through this.
Anyone with a similar experience with your kids and how they recovered? Also any prayers are welcome.
Update 9/1 AM
He is in recovery after going under to get his cast on him. All is well. Doctors expect a full recovery. Cast for five weeks.
Thankful for all the kinds post and prayers.

The real question is. How much are you suing the daycare for?

I'm sorry you're going through this.
And stupid Rona regulations keep you from staying with him.
Wish I could offer useful info.

So you’re about to own that daycare, right?

How does a 3 year old suffer a broken femur at a day care?

The lawyer you’re about to hire would advise against answering this question…
Dude, wtf???
I’d be in prison

It happens on leg day, usually. Pretty common, actually. It’s a good sign of a quality day care hitting the four core lifts.

How the hell did a three year old break a femur? Do they have the strength to break it on their own?

Happened to my brother when he was 18 months old slipping on a rug. This was back in the stone age in the 90s so they were worried it was gonna screw up his leg but he came out of it normal with no problems.

I broke my femur when I was a toddler also slipping on a wet floor. Was crazy. They put me in a body cast. Don’t remember a thing from it but the pictures we have of me in the cast are crazy. He will be fine kids that age are tough as nails
They said one of my legs might end up longer than the other but it healed just fine

No kids but my parents had those beach Schwinn bicycles back in the late 80’s with one of those death trap baby buggies on the front. Some how my brothers long arse legs got caught in the spokes and it broke that bitch. He crawled around on the ground in a cast for a while but ended up being fine. He was so fine that my dad dropped a tractor implement on it 13 or 14 years later to break it again
He’s 33 now and has no problems after my dad breaking his leg twice.

That was some gross shite. Hopefully they've improved what they can do with that a little bit in the last 25 years.

I broke my leg around that age. No biggie. He'll be fine. The worst part I remember was the saw cutting off the cast.

Daycare fight club sounds like.

My sister left her toddler at my parents’ house to go on vacation for a week. She was a toddler and somehow broker her leg while attempting to walk down the 3 steps (carpeted) into the den. Just a freak accident.
She had a cast and had to crawl with it. She got around like a little spider in no time. She healed fully, and fast.
The truth is that our bones are anti-fragile. They require stress in order to grow stronger. That break will be stronger than the rest of her bones when all is said and done.

Sounds like the same symptoms myles brennan suffers from. Brittle and fragile as glass. Ive never heard of a 3 year old breaking their fricking femur. How does that even happen?
