Friend,

But for the large majority of the population, you are more likely to die in a car accident than COVID.
This statement is false. About 30,000 Americans die in car accidents each year. Over 100,000 Americans have died from Covid since February. If you'd like to tweak stats based on age, you could do it in reverse and cite the number of Americans between ages 25 and 65 who die in car accidents, to see it is a small portion of the overall number.

He had clotting complications from COVID-19. They were treating him with blood thinners because of the clots and then had to take him off them because it was causing internal bleeding. The clots returned and they had to amputate the leg. By May he had significant lung damage, they brought him out of sedation, but then he was only able to communicate with his eyes.

It's pretty awful. The severity may not be the norm but the clotting issues has come up as a complication of COVID-19. That's not made up.

How does it compare when broken down for his age group (early 40s)?

some of you should reconsider the extent to which you’ve abandoned human decency in service to your political and social agenda

That’s understandable considering the intelligence of those making such an assumption.

It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the sheer difference in reaction from people to people to COVID19. It’s like it’s a bunch or different viruses or there has to be some commonality such as vitamin deficiency or blood type that is causing such huge disparities in outcomes.

Not really

We have had that happen at my hospital. Patients in severe respiratory distress. COVID test negative on admit. Physicians are usually able to look at imaging results (xrays and CTs) and see changes in the lungs that have become very much associated with COVID. So they retest the patient in 48 hours because they still suspect COVID....test this time is positive.

And I can tell you that the doctors at my hospital aren't worried about the hospital getting more federal money if it is COVID...they want to be able to finally get a definitive diagnosis so they can better treat their patient and the patient have a better outcome.

I read his story. He tested negative twice, his physician was sure it was China virus, and the third test was positive.

Sad.

Underlying conditions poster, you're an idiot.

I follow Zach Braff on IG and FB (been listening to the Scrubs rewatch Podcast)

Nick was a very close friend of Zach's....he had posted about his friend's hospitalization frequently.

Wasn’t me, but how so?

Normal healthy people that young aren’t losing legs or dying. 98% something was underlying.
