The Daily Mail has an excellent video of one mine removal vessel backing up and crushing another that's tied up at the dock yesterday. Occurred in Bhahrain. These ship carry a 39 sailor staff and are built of fibre glass. Ship tied up looks to be totaled

I have been around boats big and small for the last 60 years, and this is incompetence .

And in other news, failure to recruit , has caused Britain to mothball a couple frigates

Your mom could’ve learned something from the British Royal Navy and aborted you.

Thought this was a thread about partial birth abortion involving the British Navy. To say that you suck at starting threads would be an understatement.

It’s really sad what’s happened to them.

Totaled? Doesn't look like that at all.

At least they blew the danger signal when it was stuck in astern.

Also, birth? Lol

Don’t go to the UK; they’ll convict you for killing the King’s English.

Their press reported it was a mechanical malfunction. In short they say it got stuck in reverse

Note the boat tied up, when hit its mast twisted. There will not be a single tie down point that does not need to be repaired

The Royal Navy is hugely undermanned, they have a self inflicted recruiting crisis, it’s logical that they would have maintenance and upkeep issues because of it.

The Cameron era budgets did serious damage to the service, but they’ve also been on a seventy year slide. The navy is the smaller than it’s been in centuries.

It's a minesweeper.
My Dad was on a wooden minesweeper ship in Vietnam.
