Well it's not like you are going to drive from the plane and kill someone

As said, perfectly legal to bring your own mini bottles on, just put them in a ziploc with your toiletries through security.

And don't let the flight attendants see.

the are called airplane bottles because they are the size served on an airplane, every gas station isn't selling small bottles for the intention of you bringing them on a plane

Duty free store
Pick up at gate
Profit

Me and my buddy drank nearly a handle of crown from Atl to Brazil. Just keep it in your carry on down by your feet.

It's actually Air Canada Rouge. It's a cheap flight and they specifically mentioned no alcohol to be served

Every time I've flown a European airline internationally they have given you alcohol with your meal for free in economy class, I would expect this is what they meant. There is no free booze. I have a very hard time believing an airline wouldn't sell booze to you.

Given that, its not illegal to drink your own alcohol on an airplane. It is against company policy, big difference to all the idiots saying that on here. My sister is a flight attendant and has a bunch of friends that are, none of them would care. They get a commission of like 10% on stuff they sell, they aren't going to raise hell over 50 cents. I have brought minis on flights all the time, its not a big deal at all.

LOL at anyone that says you are an alcoholic for wanting to a couple drinks on a 7+ hour flight.

I'm flying to London tomorrow and will be bringing many "airplane bottles"

It's not a big deal. Don't get why so many in this thread are on their high horse.

I'm traveling overseas in 2017 and my flight doesn't serve alcohol for some unknown, terrible reason. I know it's illegal to drink your own alcohol on a plane, but are there any exceptions when the flight doesn't serve any booze?

Reading the first part of your post, I was going say you'd be dumb to bring booze onto an international flight since it's actually free. But where the hell are you going that doesn't serve booze at all? I mean someone needs to slap the flight attendants for allowing this atrocity for an overseas flight. Big difference between a flight from Dallas the NOLA and a flight from Atlanta to Paris.

Watched a flight attendant just last Thursday night threaten a man who threw a bunch of mini bottles in her trash bag with a federal offense... SWA flight turns back to have passengers arrested in Houston

Some people get incredibly high anxiety on a flight.

I don't get the fascination with getting tanked on a plane. Especially a long flight. I like to move around when I drink, not be confined to my seat next to some fat arse who smells like cheetos

Try a 17 hour flight. Take off, watch a movie, have some drinks, pass out for 9 hours, and then you land. Try traveling to another continent and you'll realize why the booze is on the house unlike domestic flights.

I buy the empty 3oz plastic bottles in the trial/travel area of the grocery store & fill them with my spirit of choice. Last flight it was bourbon. They are packed in zip-top bags with other toiletries.

When I get through security I buy a soda with similar color to the liquor I have(diet coke), pour it out in the bathroom, & pour in my bourbon. That bottles goes into my carry-on.

I'm not familiar with the legalities surrounding the situation but, a quick search of the interwebs produced the following;
quote:

Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 121.575 (Operating Requirements) and Part 135.121 (Flight Operations) state (my emphasis):

§ 121.575 Alcoholic beverages.
(a) No person may drink any alcoholic beverage aboard an aircraft unless the certificate holder operating the aircraft has served that beverage to him.
(b) No certificate holder may serve any alcoholic beverage to any person aboard any of its aircraft who— (1) Appears to be intoxicated;…
(c) No certificate holder may allow any person to board any of its aircraft if that person appears to be intoxicated….

§ 135.121 Alcoholic beverages.
(a) No person may drink any alcoholic beverage aboard an aircraft unless the certificate holder operating the aircraft has served that beverage.
(b) No certificate holder may serve any alcoholic beverage to any person aboard its aircraft if that person appears to be intoxicated.
(c) No certificate holder may allow any person to board any of its aircraft if that person appears to be intoxicated.

Good luck!

Yes it is.* You can bring your own, but can't legally drink it.

Don't mention this idea to Spirit. They'll start charging a $200 corkage fee
The cost of their bottle service will vary based on the size of the bottle, alcohol proof of the contents and color of the liquid.

Most flights to Brazil are overnight flights. Why not just sleep?
