This is all because of $200k worth of legos?
Posted on 6/5/26 at 11:24 pm to LSU713Tiger
Yes.
BAM corporate arguably tanked a multimillion dollar business over $200K in Legos belonging to a dying old man.

Property is property in America and it’s sacrosanct. Regardless of your opinion of said property, protection of it is fundamental to American society.

This is the guy who brought in a rare minifig to see if BAM would value it correctly and they tried to steal it by saying they misplaced it and when they gave it back to him they tried to tell him it was fake
This was before the Reckless Ben drama but now BAM is threatening him not to use his audience to assist Ben

A local doctor is the franchisee for the B&M store in my town. His whole doc's office is outfitted with built Legos. Good dude.
I have to wonder what he thinks about this mess. He's very active at his shop on the weekends, and is a legit fanboy. If I'm a franchisee, I'm seriously looking at a lawsuit against corporate for damaging the brand. They're run by a bunch of absolute jackasses. The local franchisee (however decent they may be) likely can't avoid being tied to this story. Value of the business has to have dropped like a rock.

Franchisees should get together and sue corporate IMO, they destroyed their businesses.
Should rebrand all of them to Brick by Brick

Saw something yesterday stating that the corporate office has asked to meet with the family and make things right...
After all the doubling down, deflecting, and covering up, they realize they can't ride it out.

Ben had a good interview yesterday where he gave some spoilers for part 3…one of the spoilers is that this is around the 12th time or something absurd where corporate has offered to sit down and settle/talk about the legos.
And each time it’s the same playbook… they play nice, agree to meet/discuss/settle, then when it’s finally all agreed to they say to stop calling and trespass/call the police/threaten legal action. Hard to take them seriously now
You can tell by Kai’s call to Chrystal and Josh’s calls with Ben that intimidation and hostility through lawsuit is ingrained in their culture.

I've watched the videos and am still confused on some points...
I knew B&M Corp was suing Ben, but they are actually suing the son of the old man who owns the collection too? I'm assuming he is Brian?
What for? Brian didn't do anything nefarious. In fact, he pushed back on some of the stuff Ben wanted to do along the way.

Well they just destroyed that company.
Hopefully the franchisees can go scorched earth on corporate.
And I didn't know Mormons were so into Legos. Strange cult.

They took a third option and claimed they knew nothing of the agreement and that all stock in the store at the time of transition was theirs.
Well the story kept changing. Josh eventually said the shelves were empty when they took the store over.
All these idiots had to do was give the dude his Legos back.

They are still trying to claim that the consignment was against the rules and a personal agreement by the previous franchisee.
Even if these guys weren't full of shite. The property is still not theirs.

They've been trying to get Brian (the son) to take down the original Facebook post, and maybe other posts, that he made about this from the very beginning. I bet they're going after him for some sort of defamation.

I agree with the cause Ben is pursuing. . .But it appears Ben is guilty of vandalism, stalking, and harassment right?
All things bam and the cops did to Ben.

The one thing I learned from all of these threads is that a surprising number of people completely lack anny understanding about corporations, franchises, and contract law.

I saw the new videos.
Ben may end up getting paid, not to mention the original complainant
Legal Mindset did a new breakdown. Keep in mind he was neutral through most of this. . .and then the unredacted vids dropped showing clear collusion with the police
