Wouldn’t this have more to do with OPEC increasing output versus tariffs on plastic junk?

Very possible.

OPEC increasing output, US producing at record pace the past 24-36 months, and if there’s any concerns of a recession, whether caused by tariffs or other factors, that all would seem to line up with lots of supply vs lessening demand.

Industry Christmas parties might get a bit scaled back this year.

The advantage of being a totalitarian dictatorship is that you don't have to care when your people suffer. No elections to worry about.

My kid, 13 almost 14 y/o had a great idea. "Dad, we could just tell the other countries that if they put tariffs on China, the US would remove the tariffs on their country..." I thought that was brilliant.

Could. Also a good indication that the economy is collapsing and demand is disappearing.

For new wells maybe. Probably a few bucks cheaper. For existing wells it’s half that after IP. We don’t export a lot O&G to China anyways. Could easily offset with Europe markets

On the world scale, we are the largest importer of Chinese goods at 15%. The EU is a bit larger at roughly 21%.

If the goal is to squeeze China, why are we applying reciprocal tariffs to other trading partners that could alleviate some of the pain US consumers will feel from a trade war with China?

This 4D chess doesn't make sense.

She have a relative named Jonathon .. in Houston area.. has a place on surfside.. father recently died…..
she work in the medical industry?

Override lets you keep a part of the value of the product produced.. so she would be getting a piece of the value of the production.. so yall want high prices also for the product.

That level is already $10 a barrel below the average $65 per barrel price U.S. producers need to profitably drill a new well, as they indicated in the Dallas Fed Energy Survey for the first quarter.

Depends where, some producers in Eagleford have never been paid above $40 and still making money. 56-60 API gravity though with a lot of wax.

In the meantime, Russia is below breakeven point. Russia finances depend on profitable oil. They are not making money above breakeven with natural gas to China.

But the chinese also are used to living like cavemen. They might be able to live within their means longer than a US housewife can go without a new iphone.

100%, this is going to be the problem as this trade war escalates.
