All the seized dogs will be put into a shelter, mislabeled as lab mixes, sold to unsuspecting people who believe any dogs can be sweet, maul their kid, change states with a new name like “Luna” or “Bella”, their bite record won’t follow them, and a new family will adopt.

I have a female pit. I keeping her for my son. She survived a tornado in Florida. So anytime a storm hits, she shakes real bad and hides in the closet. If you sneeze she runs too the closet. I've never had a pit and will never get a pit. I also have a twenty pound terrier. They got in one scuffle and the terrier kicked her arse. Now the pit is scared of the terrier.
But you can't put your face close to her especially eating. If you do, you will get a face full of licking. And she always wants her stomach rubbed all day long. Dog is very needy.
Who ever my son got her from probably really mistreated her. She really is a good dog.

A buddy of mine was working behind a house where 2 pit bulls were chained to a clothesline. They somehow got close enough to one another to make contact and and basically chewed the faces off of each other. He said they were nearly unrecognizable.

Hell, should be more than that. I posted knowing I would get slammed and rightly deserved. But I took a lot of caution before letting in my house because of their reputation. I kept her outside with a dog house to see her temperament. I would feed her outside and see if she had any food aggression. Nope. Would do other test to gauge her reaction. The only reason she got into it with the other dog was because of the other dog. My black terrier starts shite with other dogs. The pit ran away from her. Wasn't a big deal fight, just a dominance thing. But I still wouldn't let the pit near children. Sure she wouldn't do anything, but that's just not something you test.
