Poodles were bred to have soft mouth for carrying prey (labs, Goldens, etc)

I think you’re confusing with “capability to” and “likelihood of”. Do they technically have the jaw strength? Yes. Will they use it on people. No.
This is like saying, a woman was shot across in the quarter, how can we be totally convinced that a 6 year old didn’t take a gun out of his dad’s glove compartment and shoot her accidentally from Cafe Du Monde. It’s technically possible, I guess.
Like I said, poodles, Goldens, labs, spaniels, etc… they were originally bred partially to be able to carry prey. They all have a gene for soft mouth. Some are better than others.
My golden doodle will “bite” you but won’t squeeze down with his teeth. The teeth will barely touch the skin.

To be bit by any dog you must be around that dog. I for one am not around pits or rotties in any capacity to ever be bit bt one anymore (previously not so much)
How often would you say Nelly is around pits or rotties vs labs, poodles, etc?
And remember this injury is so minor she waited to the week of the tournament to announce she wasn’t playing. She is 100% expected still for the women’s British open coming up. Do you think a pit or root would leave her with such a minor injury?

Early on, it was clearly NOT a named breed.. The the dog still hasn't been identified is surprising. Are there any TD like sites in the Pacific North West who could be challenged to check out local chat or neighborhood, or pet sites?

Doesn't Sir Winston live up there? Maybe he could find out. Heck, if it had of involved Bryson DeChambeau, he would have know the dog breed, dog's name, age, weight, if it was fixed or not, what they did with the dog and what Bryson was wearing when he got bitten.

These dogs go nuts in controlled environments inside their own homes. You're arguing a pit owner can reasonably keep an animal entirely contained from humans that it lives with?

To be fair, it doesn’t take much of a bite or scratch on the hand or finger area to keep a golfer from being able to compete. Kinda like a blister on the finger can keep a pitcher out for a few weeks.

I have hog hunted with pits and seen them kill more animals than the rest of this board combined likely
They were kept on leads at all times with shock collars. When not being handled this way they were in fully in closed runs. They were 100% contained and of no threat to anyone.
To me, that’s the purpose of a pit and how they should be handled

No shite. You've finally seen the light. Pit owners have to know what they have and be responsible owners. Just like gun ownership. Don't be a Democrat and ban things you don't like and to not hold people responsible for their actions.
